Young Musicians of Excellence
The Young Musicians of Excellence was a unique group of Australian Performers brought together by Nehama. As soloists, and together as Young Musicians of Excellence, they enchanted audiences around the world. Coming from diverse cultural backgrounds, these young artists aged from four years, combined freshness and spontaneity with a love of sharing music with others.

They all studied Piano with Nehama Patkin and most played a second instument and, in some cases, even a third. All members of the YME were encouraged to explore different styles and to be creative. They were given numerous opportunities to perform in professional situations, including several major concerts each year for charity. Their versatility meant they could perform as a small ensemble or a full orchestra.

These young musicians performed for many organisations including St Kilda and Caulfield Rotary Clubs, Australia Day Celebrations, City of Glen Eira's Swing into Spring Festivals and for the National Council of Jewish Women. They received standing ovations at the Order of Australia Annual Dinner in 1998. Other venues in which they performed include the Melbourne Concert Hall, The National Gallery, Alexander Theatre at Monash University, The Victorian Arts Centre, The Hyatt, and Hilton Hotels in both Cairns and Melbourne.
Children of the Third Millenium was the title of a concert given by these young musicians at Yarra Grange in February 2000. Over 800 people enjoyed music making of the highest quality.
Six Concerto Collection concerts were produced by Nehama Patkin featuring many Young Musicians of Excellence as soloists with a symphony orchestra.
